If you read last week's Tip, you already know about EditMe's include capability. To briefly review, you can enter [[include:SomePage]] into the EditMe editor to include the contents of SomePage in its place when the page is viewed. This allows you to manage a reusable peice of content in one place and have it show up in several different places. At least, that's one possible use.

You can also combine EditMe's include capability with access controls to create sections of content that only appear to certain users or groups. Included pages only get included for users who have view access to the included page. For example, a page called PublicPage that includes a page called PrivatePage will only show the contents of PrivatePage for users who would be able to see PrivatePage if they viewed it directly.

Say you want a section of your menu to include links to pages that only members of a certain group can view. After all, who wants to see a bunch of links to pages they don't have access to? Simply add the links to a separate page and include that page in your Menu page. Then set the permissions on the included page to limit access to the users or group that can see those pages.
