EditMe launched Release 26 today, April 27th, 2006. This is largely a maintenance release, fixing several bugs.
Time Zones
The feature of note is the new Time Zone support. Site administrators can now set the time zone for their site to make dates and times on the site current for that time zone. The site time zone is set on the General Settings page of Site Settings.
Additionally, individual registered users and administrators can optionally set their time zone on the Registration and User Preferences screens. This setting over-rides the site's time zone setting.
Minor Changes and Fixes
American Express acceptance at the account manager site is now live.
A bug in the notification alert while editing was fixed. There is now a count-down displayed in the title bar to indicate how much time is left in the current session. Of course, checking "Remember Me" makes the session last forever.
URLs in double brackets are now automatically turned into links. For example, [[http://www.editme.com]] becomes http.www.editme.com.
An encoding problem was fixed in the RSS feed mechanism, which some finicky news readers complained about.
A bug which caused an error when uploading large files was fixed. Uploads can now be up to 250MB.
The header on the User Preferences screen is now "Preferences" instead of "Register".
A print formatting problem was fixed that caused the site's stylesheet to not be applied when printing.
Administrator users can no longer demote themselves to regular or locked users.
