Announcements: Customer Wiki Updates

Tuesday, May 6, 2008

Over the past few weeks you may have noticed the consolidation of the help.editme.com and wiki.editme.com sites. If you haven't, check out the considerably updated wiki site at http://wiki.editme.com.

The over-all goal here is to consolidate the various customer support resources available. With a documentation site, a wiki, a help desk, an account management site, the main EditMe site, and customers' individual EditMe sites, it's easy to get lost. Phase one was to combine the content of the help site into the wiki site. That work is now complete. Phase two, which we hope to complete by September, will be to combine the online help desk into the wiki site as well.

The content of the new wiki/help site has been optimized for search. Though this results in some redundancy of content, we have made individual pages for every topic that has been commonly inquired about with the question one might ask as the page title. This makes the search feature for the site quite good at giving you an answer to your question in a search query. Try it out!

Over the next few weeks, we'll be migrating many of the archived blog posts on this site to the wiki as well. These provide detailed answers to common customer questions - like How do I integrate Google AdSense? - and we want them to show up in the wiki search results.

Other enhancements include a reorganized section for developers and documentation for the new Modules feature, including a Modules Directory. We have two new modules in the oven that will be announced soon!

As always, the content on the wiki site is open to public view. If you want to contribute, please register on the site to gain editing access. We welcome your input! Check out the Community tab for pages that specifically invite customer input. By moving more of the customer support dialog to the wiki, we hope to give customers what they're looking for without having to wait for a support ticket response (lightening fast as they may be).

Your feedback is welcome and appreciated.
