Release23 - SSL & Editor Upgrade

SSL (https) is now offered for all EditMe sites with Standard or better plans. SSL allows secure tranmission of data between the EditMe server and users' web browsers using the https protocol. EditMe uses the same level of encryption used by most online banking sites. If you have a site on Standard plan or better, go to General Site Settings to configure SSL. By default, SSL is disabled. You can choose to required it for the login page only, for all pages, or make SSL optional for all pages. Starter plan sites can be upgraded instantly to Standard or better at the online account manager: https://manage.editme.com

EditMe's SSL certificate covers all editme.com domains. If you use a custom domain for your site (http://www.yoursite.com instead of http://yoursite.editme.com), use of SSL will cause a warning message in most browsers. While transmission of data is equally secure, many users find this message annoying, disconcerting or confusing. EditMe recommends use of the editme.com domain if you choose to enforce SSL use on your site.

This release also includes the latest release of the rich text editor used by EditMe, TinyMCE 2.0.1. The new version provides improved support for Firefox 1.5, Safari and Opera 9, improved image and attachment dialog boxes, improved undo/redo, and dozens of bug fixes.
