Blogosphere: Q&A with EditMe: A wiki for non-geeks
2008-08-18Brendon Chase of Builder AU, a web site "by developers for developers," recently interviewed me about EditMe. From the post: "Put simply, wikis have been just too nerdy for the average punter for it to catch on in most businesses. Enter EditMe, a wiki CMS solution that you could safely give to non-geeks. While easy for end-users, the hosted solution has a powerful back-end that developers can use to customise installs via an API and allowing Server-side JavaScript." Read the full post...
Announcing: New Wiki Forums
2008-08-04
On Friday the Questions and Suggestions pages at the Customer Support Wiki were replaced with Forums.
These pages prompted discussion among wiki users and relied upon
EditMe's comment mechanism for a rolling dialog. While this worked, it
forced every message into a single thread. The Forums now allow each
topic to have a list of replies. In addition, each topic becomes a new
page on the wiki that is included in the site search. Read the full post...
Blogosphere: EditMe is a Wiki with Teeth
2008-07-25
Boston-area
interactive marketing blogger Matthew Mamet recently featured EditMe in
a blog post about wikis. He touches on the unique power of EditMe's
JavaScript API...
Having full CRUD access over all data and wiki functionality really makes a difference. It’s possible to build permission based content authoring tools all the way up to a full fledged CMS right within your personal wiki. EditMe has been able to pull off integration of this powerful API within a “normal” wiki environment. You don’t have to take advantage of it if you don’t want to. The familiar wiki content editing rules apply. However, with access to the API at every price level - you’re getting a powerful toolset at any price." Read the full post...
Update: Kiva Lending Program Makes 101st Loan
2008-05-19
EditMe made its 101st Kiva loan today as part of our ongoing lending

loans per week, and has recycled the 22 loans that have been paid back
into additional loans. Deferred revenue from customer's 6 and 12 month
prepayments help to fund these loans, and EditMe donates 10% of each
loan made to Kiva for operational expenses. Read the full post...

these designers to have a design done and then integrate it into your
site as a custom Layout and style sheet. See all the new designers...
Announcing: Recommended Designers
2008-01-11
Nothing does more for a web site than a high quality custom design. Web
design is an art form, and one or two designers cannot fit every need.
Rather than have designers on staff, EditMe has partnered with talented freelance designers to round out our Custom Development Services.
If you want a professional design applied to your EditMe site, you can
work with these designers to have one created. EditMe can perform
integration services to make the design work with your existing
EditMe site. Read the full post...
